More Eye Improving Tips

Now that we have entered the 21st Century, we seem to be hell-bent on immediate results. We want to be thinner, so we get a gastric band or liposuction. We are losing our hair, so we get a hair transplant. We are having problems with our eyesight, so either we can get glasses or contact lenses, or if the problem is to do with being shortsighted, then we can have an operation. What more do we need to know? Well, maybe we should all be thinking about ways to improve our eyesight because it really is possible to naturally improve our eyesight. That's right. We don't need to think about glasses, contact lenses or even an operation. But what we can think about is taking the time and effort to be in control of our own destiny when it comes to our eyesight!

There are different methods that we can utilise to ensure that we not only maximise the eyesight that we have, but that we can naturally improve eyesight; whatever our age. All we need to do is to be prepared to learn new eye exercises and to be aware of how exercises can actually help to improve our eyesight.

We also need to be prepared to be patient and not expect instant results. If the exercises start on Sunday, a huge improvement will not be seen by Tuesday. Mother Nature does not work in this way. It will take time to naturally improve eyesight, because we are using muscles that probably have not been used for some time just like the rest of our body your eye muscles will need to get used to the new exercises you are imposing upon them.

It is also really important to think about what we put into our bodies. Yes we can all undertake exercises designed to naturally improve eyesight, but if we then use good food and proper nutrition and eat only really beneficial foods, then we are really giving ourselves a good fighting chance of making sure that we do naturally improve our eyesight, without drugs, medication or chemicals.

The great thing about learning ways to naturally improve eyesight is that you have nothing to lose. You are not risking your eyesight, because you are not pumping your eyes full of chemicals and medication. Instead, you will be eating foods that can really help your eyes and you will be exercising your eyes on a daily basis. So you have nothing to lose and nothing to fear, just give it a go today!

Eye Exercises

A recent study showed that the most common reasons for bad eyesight are incurred naturally and can be cured naturally. In light of this, the obvious question is why do so many people jump straight onto glasses without even trying to improve their vision through eye exercises?
I genuinely believe that people are just simply unaware just how their eyes work and how quickly it can respond to a little bit of exercise. The muscles that control and shape the lens in the eye can be worked just like the bicep muscles in your arms and lit of bit of daily exercise for a couple of weeks has been shown to completely fix over 45% of eye problems with a further 30% showing "drastic improvement".
Given that glasses teach your eyes bad habits, commonly cause a steady deterioration in eyesight and cost on average $500 a year then it is clear that spending a short amount of time running through some eye exercises could literally be the best decision you ever made for your eyesight.
For those of you who have already been dependent on glasses for a number of years, then I have something encouraging to say to you too. Your eyes are so versatile that you can reverse the effects that your glasses have had on your vision. In fact some people can completely cure their vision problems within the first month of proper eye training. The exercises can even work on eyesight problems that have been caused by ageing.
Here's a few important bits of information for you in your quest to improve your eyesight naturally:
Teaching your eyes to Relax
As simple as it may sound, simply teaching your eyes to relax can have a major impact on your vision. Your eyes are extremely sensitive to strain especially with our modern common lifestyle of working in front of computers, watching the television and reading books. Eye strain can even occur without you noticing it - most of the time there are no symptoms in terms of feeling, you just start to notice a deterioration in your vision.
One exercise that I always recommend to someone who is suffering for eye strain is called palming. It's a very simple, easy exercise with a great success rate. When this exercise is performed consistently for a few weeks the results are often very encouraging.
Here's what you do:
Put your hands out in front of you with your palms facing in the eye. Then bring your palms up to cover your arms making sure that the hands are cupped so that they don't actually make contact with your eyes. Put your elbows on your desk or another hard surface and try to make yourself comfortable. Now you simply spend as long as you need to generate relaxing and positive thoughts. You should try and concentrate on relaxing all the muscles in your eye - this will be hard to begin with but after a while you get used to it.
Palming is especially recommended for those who work in front of a computer for extended periods of time or who find themselves straining to focus on objects.
Specific Eye Exercises
There are a large number of eye exercises out there for specific conditions. For example, there are many exercises that focus purely on myopia (short sightedness) and teach the eye to adjust to objects that are far away.
William Bates is the pioneer for these exercises - his work and understanding of natural vision was way ahead of his time. He has been dead over 7 decades now yet his work is still at the foundation of most eye exercise programs and for great reason too - it works.
